Crating for Industrial Relocation - Pharmaceutical
In a recent pharmaceutical industry relocation in the Boston area by diggins & ROSE, this lyophilizer was just one of many pieces of pharmaceutical process machines that needed to be packaged, crated and shipped overseas to Portugal.
A Challenging Crating Job
Crating this machine was specifically challenging due to its high value, size and delicate nature. Diggins & ROSE designed and fabricated a special skid of steel and wood in order to meet requirements for out-of-gauge handling at the ports.
Marine Insurance inspectors checked and approved of all diggins & ROSE techniques for skidding, barrier wrapping, crating and placarding of the lyophilizer.
The crated lyophilizer was loaded and lashed onto a flattrack at Port Elizabeth, NJ for door-to-door shipping to Portugal.
