Project Details

1. Machine components are placed on skid and covered with barrier wrap.

2. All seams are heat-sealed.

3. Moisture inhibitors are placed inside bag and air is vacuumed out.

4. Sealed bag is shrink-wrapped and crate sides and top are added.

5. Crate is steel-banded and ready for shipping.

Machinery Crating for Overseas Shipment

When this international company closed one of its Massachusetts plants and redistributed machinery and equipment to five other locations, including internationally, diggins & ROSE handled the entire move, including custom crating for international shipment.

Key steps:

1. Skid and all wood components are constructed using ISPM 15 compliant heat-treated lumber. Machine is placed on skid and surrounded with additional components and equipment to maximize use of space. Skidded items are totally encased vapor barrier wrap.

2. All seams are thoroughly heat-sealed.

3. Moisture inhibitors are placed inside bag and air is vacuumed out.

4. Sealed bag is shrink-wrapped for additional protection. 1/2" plywood sides and top with 2"x4" framing are added.

5. Crate is steel-banded and ready for shipping. diggins & ROSE can provide door-to-door or port-to-port delivery.
