Automation Line Rigging and Transportation

Project Details

1. One section of the original "U"-shaped automation line.

2. Units were lifted onto tri-wheel dollies.

3. Securing and blocking one section into a 53' moving van.

4. The unit secured with logistics straps and ready for transport.

This U-shaped approximately 150' ft. automation line would be typically moved in 20 or more sections. By using creative thinking, diggins & ROSE was able to move this unit in only 3 sections using 53' moving vans, saving days of disassembly at origin and days of reassembly at destination. By shipping the unit on tri-wheel dollies, the units were able to be off-loaded at destination with minimal effort and expense.

Instead of this line having to be broken into 8 or more sections, diggins and ROSe riggers were able to safely move it in only 3 sections. Each section was placed on tri-wheel dollies and moved with the dollies in place.
Each section was secured and blocked into a 53' moving van, still on the tri-wheel dollies.
Finally each 50' unit was secured into the van with logistics straps to be ready for transport.
